Hi!
I’m Niklas and I write software.
By day I develop software for a manufacturer of nurse call systems; in my spare time I work on my own apps. Here you can learn a bit about me and what I’m currently building.
A little about me.
I’m Niklas, born in 1993, from Bergisch Gladbach. I’ve been writing software since my early teens: I started out with VB.NET and soon switched to C#. Since then I’ve tried lots of languages and frameworks – these days I’m most interested in Flutter (Dart), Rust and Kotlin.
Professionally, I work as a software developer at a well-known manufacturer of nurse call systems. In my spare time I build my own apps, which I publish under the name Rujitsuki.
Apart from software development, I unfortunately have more interests than I have time to pursue them all. :)

What I’m into right now
Why “Rujitsuki”? ルジツキ
I lived in Japan for a year – first for a few months in Osaka’s harbor district, then in Asaka. That’s where “Rujitsuki” comes from: a Japanese take on my last name.
What I’m building right now.
Apps I develop and publish in my spare time.
Epilou
Shows and movies, always in view.
Epilou remembers which season and episode you’re at in your series and which movies you’ve already seen – no account, no ads.
More apps in the works
New projects will show up here once they’re ready to share.
What I care about in my apps.
Only the data that’s needed
An app should only store what it needs to work – without ads, tracking or analytics tools.
Offline first
Your data lives on your device. You only need the internet for things like search or sync.
No account, where possible
Wherever I can, I skip sign-ups with email and password.
